  1. Hi there, I got my esthetic license from Advance Beauty College years ago. I’m interested in getting my cosmotology license now. Is it possible to deduct the hours I already put in for esthetics towards the cosmotology hours?

    1. Author

Sylvie, we would have to evaluate your transcripts/license before, but in most cases, yes, some hours can be used towards your cosmetology license. Please contact the school and make an appointment so that we can discuss this further.

      Hi Naiomi,

Your transcript from your previous course will have to be evaluated by our admissions office. We are a clock hour school, so we would need to see how your units would transfer. Please contact us at our admissions office for more information.

Our cosmetology program is 1600 hours. Transfer hours are evaluated on a case by case basis. A maximum of 800 hours may be transferred into the program.

  15. Hi. I’m interested in your esthetician program in Laguna Hills area. I’m currently in North Hollywood, but I’m moving to Irvine this Dec, so I’d like to start the school late Dec or early Jan.
    1. What are the full time hours and how long will it take to graduate?
    2. I see that tuition+books+registration = $3,560, is there any financial aid program since I won’t be able to work if I go to school full time, I would need to get a loan or grants for living expenses as well as the tuition.
    3. Is there a program that can start in Dec or Jan?
    4. Do you help us find jobs?
    Please let me know.

    1. Author

      Hi Sera,

      1. Our full time schedule is Tuesday-Saturday from 9 am – 5:30. We do have a night time program that is part-time. The program is 600 hours, so if you attend full time (40 hours) a week, you will be done in approximately 15 weeks.
      2. We do offer financial aid for those who qualify. Please visit the Financial Aid tab on our website for more information.
      3. For cash paying students, you may enroll in the esthetician program every 5 weeks.
      4. Yes, we maintain a job board on our website for our alumni.

Please contact our admissions office at 949-951-8883. We look forward to hearing from you!

  17. I’m interested in the manicuring course but I am currently in college is it still possible to take it?

    1. Author

Hi Jessica, Our 400 hour program takes just 10 weeks to complete if you go 40 hours a week. Many people choose to attend during summer while they are break. Alternatively, we do offer a part-time night program. Please give us a call if you have any other questions. Thanks!

    1. Author

      Hi Ann,

Unfortunately, we do not have an eyelash extension course. Our esthetician students do learn about them during their course of study, which is 600 hours. If you have any questions about the esthetics program, please give us a call. Thanks!

  18. Hi I’m interested in the 400 hours manicuring program. I’m currently in college and planning to take summer classes. Can you please let me know how long does the program take if I’m planning to become a part-time student. Thank you.

    1. Author

Hi Thao, If you’re a part time student, you would take about 20 hours a week, meaning it would take you about 20 weeks to complete the program. If you were able to attend 40 hours a week, you could complete the program in 10 weeks. If you have additional questions, please give us a call at 714-530-2131.

Hi Diane! The Mac Pro program means that our students are eligible to get a student card with MAC and receive a discount. We also periodically schedule tours at the MAC store so our students can see the behind the scenes.

  19. if i complete the 400 hr manicuring course and want to come back for the advanced manicuring course , would i have to do the full 600 hrs or is it shorter?

    1. Author

      Hi Valeria,

You would be able to just do the additional 200 hours but would also have to purchase the kit for the 600 hour course as the two kits are very different. We typically advise students to enroll in the 600 hour course if they have the time for it as you do learn advanced skills that would help you find a job as well as get a fully stocked student kit. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!

  20. Hi I’m interested in doing the manicure course but don’t think I can afford the 3800$ for advanced could I still get a decent education and find work with the minimal education ? What specificly is the difference in courses ?

    1. Author

Hi Kelly! Thanks for your interest in our program. The 400 hour program will prepare you for the state board exam. The 600 hour program builds on the 400 hour program and includes skills that many employers require such as gel nails, nail art, and spa pedicures. If you have more questions, please contact us at 714-530-2131. Thanks
