For the third year in a row, Advance Beauty College sponsored Viet Fashion Week
The successful fashion show highly anticipated both in America and Internationally. This May 20th and 21st, 2016, fashion designers and icons recognized worldwide came together to show the latest trends and advancements in the industry. Tracy Pham, producer and director of Viet Fashion Week, helped make the event bigger than ever. Her passion to help the Vietnamese community was highlighted through her incredible efforts with Viet Fashion Week and participants. The show allowed these world renowned designers to showcase their incredible work, while Advance Beauty College students were able to participate in a professional environment, helping complete the look on the models.
Viet Fashion Week Finishes Successfully with Advance Beauty College
2016’s Viet Fashion Week was a huge success. With over 150 models participating for both days, incredible designs were displayed on stage. Designers included Christy Pham, Son Luong, Yvonne, Quynh Paris, Cynthia Bui, Jackie Tai, Calvin Hiep, and more. The latest collections created by these international designers were shown and featured couture, avant-garde, swimwear, wedding gowns, evening gowns, traditional Vietnamese long dresses called Ao Dais, and more. This year, the fashion community was excited by the addition of petite models. 2016 was the first year the show included petite models, under 5’7”, a positive change and trend for industry standards. The successful 2 day event featured the work of 5 designers and celebrated the accomplishments of the community as well as fashion in general. The public was able to witness the incredible talent of the community while enjoying beautiful designs.
Advance Beauty College Students Help Viet Fashion Week Models Get Ready
Advance Beauty College was excited to sponsor Viet Fashion Show 2016. The Orange County Beauty College provided 54 students from both the Garden Grove and Laguna Hills location to help with hair and makeup. Additionally, 80 Advance Beauty College students assisted with the models’ nails. Students recognizes the importance of makeup and hair in completing the look of each piece. Students worked from 11:30 to 5:00 pm on both days. Viet Fashion Show allowed students to work with leading members of the Vietnamese fashion industry community, helping them stay connected with members and prepare for their future careers in the industry. Advance Beauty College emphasizes community and providing hands on experiences for students. The show allowed the college to continue its efforts in helping the community, celebrating fashion, and highlight the talent of the community’s members.
